Kota to Dholpur Flood Conditions

Excess water in Gandhi Sagar dam has again caused Chambal River to overflow. After Kota, Dholpur is also now a victim of flood conditions. Army is being deployed in the areas of Kota, Dholpur and Jhalawad to manage the situation. For safety purposes, Savai Madhopur is being put on alert.

Today, Honorable Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Mr. Ashok Gahlot is expected to have Arial inspection of the affected places. This large quantity of water is released after a long time of 39 years. A total of 6.62 Q sec water is being released from the Dam.

All the leaves of government officials of the affected areas of the State are being cancelled.

The schools in almost 70 villages of Dholpur are shut down till further notice. In Kota, schools are closed on Monday and almost 25,000 houses are affected by the Floods. In Jhalavad too, Monday is declared a holiday for schools
